There are many different types of locks out there. It can often be overwhelming to decide which is the right one for you. Let's look at a few of the most common lock types and what makes them unique.

Cam Lock: A cam lock is a very common lock often found on mailboxes or filing cabinets. While they do not provide great security, it does provide a low-security lock for smaller items like mailboxes or filing cabinets. These locks are often easy to change out if you need a simple lock that is easy to swap out.

Padlock: A padlock is one of the more common locks. You are probably familiar with it. They can be unlocked with a key or a combination. These types of locks while to ensure a sense of security, are fairly easy to break if determined enough. These would be best used for things like a shed, toolbox or locker.

Deadbolt: A deadbolt is one that most are probably familiar with. These are the locks often found on doors within your home space. These are more secure than a padlock, so you can be sure that a deadbolt will provide a great deal of safety.

While these are the most common locks, there are so many more locks out there to choose from. If you do not feel that one of the three above will suit your needs, we’re sure there is one out there that is perfect for you.  Give us a call or stop by one of our convenient locations for more info.
